Our story

We opened in 2018 with one rule: never rush the chair.

CHAIR started as two styling chairs and a short client list. Seven years on we cut, colour, groom, treat and paint nails for people across Wylde Green, Sutton Coldfield and Erdington. The room has grown. The rule has not.

Every appointment starts with a consultation. We look at your hair, ask what you actually do with it in the morning, and tell you honestly what will work. If a look will not hold on your hair type, we say so before you book four hours.

How we work

Three things you can rely on

Consultation first

Fifteen minutes, free, no obligation. We assess condition, porosity and colour history before we quote a price or book a slot.

Honest answers

If your hair cannot take a lift this month, we say so, and give you a plan that gets there safely over two or three visits.

Hair you can manage

Cuts are built around your routine. You leave with a finish you can repeat at home, not one that only works in the salon.

The room

Space between the chairs.

Backwash basins, individual stations, and a treatment room away from the salon floor for nails and beauty. Enough space between chairs to have a private conversation.

Free WiFi, proper coffee, and music at a volume you can talk over. Step-free entry from Sutton Road.
