Honest answers before you commit four hours.

Colour is the thing we are known for. Ryan has spent twenty years doing it. Sam specialises in transformations and the repair work that follows them.

At consultation we assess your natural level, what colour is already on the hair and its condition. Then we tell you what is achievable now, what needs staging over two or three visits, and what it will cost.

Going blonde

Getting there safely beats getting there fast.

Dark to blonde in a single sitting is sometimes possible and often not. It depends on your natural level, what is already on the hair and how much it can take.

We would rather stage it over two or three visits and hand you hair that is still in one piece. Sam plans these properly, with a written timeline and a treatment plan between appointments.

Questions

Colour questions

It checks for an allergic reaction to the colour before it goes near your scalp. It is a legal and insurance requirement, it takes two minutes in the salon, and it is free. We need it at least 48 hours before your appointment, and again if it has been over six months since your last colour with us.

Usually, but it takes planning. Box dye deposits more pigment than salon colour and lifts unevenly. Come in for a consultation and we will tell you honestly how many visits it will take.

Because it is painted freehand there is no hard regrowth line, so most clients stretch it to three or four months. A toner at six to eight weeks keeps it fresh.

Lightening always changes the hair structure. We include a bond builder in every lightening service and will tell you if we think your hair cannot safely take what you are asking for.

Yes. Full coverage, or grey blending if you want something softer that grows out more gently.
